Crop Circles
I had no idea the art was so highly developed. Most of these are exquisite!

I used to think they were hoaxes and apparently many are, but those who investigate these things say you can see a big difference between the two.
Linda Moulton Howe has been covering animal mutilations, crop circles and ufos for a long time.
She has a very interesting site. Easy to miss a lot of detailed interviews and investigations.

[font=courier new][size=8pt]Linda Moulton Howe is one of the people who appear on Coast-To-Coast (radio), that I like.
I become irritated by a lot of the guests, but not her.
I just knew UFOs were real! ;)

There is a lot of web noise on this subject which tends to mask out factual material but I've found a few interesting links:

Thanks for the links Charles, seeing videos I had not seen before.
In the mid 70's, I was on a flight across the United States and saw crop circles over many states as we flew. I had never heard or seen any before. I remember pointing it out to fellow passengers and we were all mystified by them. I just figured it was things that farmer kids did to kill time and forgot about it till all of these incredible ones started appearing in England and brought it to world wide attention.
The ones I saw were simple circular patterns, nothing like the intricate designs you see today. But still something you could only really make out from high altitude, so it is was surprising someone would go to such trouble.
I've been in corn fields and there is no way I could ever make such a pattern, it is so easy to get lost with the high stalks. I played in cut hay, but not in the field, but it was surprising crisp and you would get jabbed when you jumped into it. In movies you see people jumping and playing around in hay, so I had the misconception it was a lot softer than it really was. At least the barn we played in the hay was not soft at all.
The fact that these appear over night is another addition to the mystery. How can you do something so intricate in one night?
