I have seen some requests for ThinBASIC to be ported to Linux. Chris Warren Smith is asking users of UBUNTU style Linux whether they would like SmallBASIC to be included in UBUNTU. He writes:
I created a request to have SmallBASIC include in the Ubuntu repositories.

If you would like SmallBASIC to be included in Ubuntu then please mark the bug as "Yes, it affects me".
SmallBASIC is a rather nice (my opinion) BASIC with an orientation towards mathematics rather than towards games. It has only limited form creation abilities - though these are getting better. It is a pure interpreter and doesn't produce stand alone programs. It has quite a large library of programs. It runs on many platforms - including Palms and Windows Mobile. In the absence of ThinBASIC it might well be of some use to people who use Linux.
