View Full Version : Cool site for old calculators
I found this cool site for old calculators. I was trying to find a model I used to drool at the electronics shop but never was able to buy it back then. Anyways came upon this site. Here is a cool one, BASIC and C, one of tons of calculators that did cool stuff like this:
http://www.rskey.org/detail.asp?manufacturer=Casio&model=Z-1
Click on a brand name and it will bring all of the models up with photos and specs. I might start this as a hobby when going to flea markets to find some of these or on ebay.

There are so many to look at, if you find anything that stands out, please post a link here in this thread so we can check it out too.

[font=courier new]Petr, it seems to me that the 35s, is basically the new 42s.
Here is a review of it.

Hi,
my father has 35s. I think it is very nice machine, but I still prefer 42s, as it has:
- graphics display with ability to do per pixel and block operations
- possibility to name programs and variables, not just hide them under number/single letter
- on screen menu, programmable
- built in matrix handling
What I like most is that 42s looks "innocent", but it is beast inside. I have it for 15 years now, it is type of calculator you can use from elementary to university and it still serves perfectly. The SOLVER engine is also very useful.
Very nice is also 28s, very comfortable to work with.
I think 35s is more close to 1Xc series, but comparing to those it has indeed advanced. From the latest new HP models, I like 35s the most.
