OpenCL: Supported hardware

The following list is an overview of currently supported hardware you can run OpenCL on.

Make sure you use OpenCL enabled drivers.

You need to download Intel SDK for OpenCL applications, install it and reboot Windows:
http://software.intel.com/en-us/vcsource/tools/opencl-sdk
(In the combobox at the top right corner pick Intel SDK for OpenCL 2012 (Windows 32 bit), even if you have 64 bit Windows, because ThinBASIC is 32bit app)

AMD

Something as old as Sempron is okay
... and newer


You need to download AMD Accelerated Parallel Processing (APP) SDK, install it and reboot Windows:

I had oportunity to test ATi HD 4xxx series card today, and it seems the only example it is able to run from those I posted and run ok on GeForces, is that about with device info. That is quite bad.

I was not allowed to install latest drivers and ATi SDK there, so this is situation for SDK 2.0.
I hope it will be possible to test in next weeks.

If anybody has friends with ATi Radeon HD 4xxx/5xxx and could try to run the OpenCL samples from here, I would appreciate it a lot.

Exactly the same situation here.

Statistics on steam show 30% of gamers having ATis, where are they?

Ok, well with Europe and USA ruled out, it must be South America or Asia.

I checked again the Steam survey (http://store.steampowered.com/hwsurvey/videocard/) (of course representative just for gamer comunity of this service).
I filtered out just OpenCL enabled GPUs and found this usage percentage:

ATi 15%
NVIDIA 46%
